New Shoots have created, a fabulous team building, Smartphone Photography Treasure Hunt Workshop, for business, designed for small to medium groups at Borough Market.

 

This will bring your staff together to learn, inspire their creativity and fun, competing to see who will bring back the trophy for their team, by working out the clues to take them to the correct the locations and to discover how to use some new photographic skills. To take a different view of the world with composition. We will be really teaching all participants to really see the world around them.

 

 We are professional photographers who want to share our knowledge in small friendly groups. We will teach the basics, both technical and compositional so that you and your staff leave feeling confident and inspired.

 

Although this has been created for team building, this is also great opportunity for networking in smaller groups too.

 

The most important element for anyone wanting to take better photographs is knowing and trusting your equipment and the same is true of a smartphone and knowing what it can do. If you require members of your team to take photographs on their smartphones and learn how to get more out of their smartphone camera, discover its potential and learn the fundamentals of photography; this is will be a great the course for your business. We will help participants take more control of the technical aspects of their smartphone camera so they can be in control of the creative side, giving them more confidence to take the pictures that they want, the way they want! And we can tailor what they learn to be relevant to the specific company.

 

This is an outdoor, fully practical workshop in and around your locale or if you prefer our usual location Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market, where you will be shown different techniques and can practice your new skills, learning to achieve the following:

 

• We will start by going through a few basics with our camera phones.

• Tips on focusing and exposure

• Composition, using perspective

• Dealing with converging verticals

• Finding the right background for your shots.

• How to compose a great shot - using the rules and breaking them

• How to be creative with depth of field

• How to take control of natural light

• How to edit your shots to enhance them

How long is the Workshop:

We expect this workshop to last three hours, initially beginning with the introductory part of the session, then proceeding to the practical part. We generally start at 10am – anticipating to finish at 1pm, but of course start times are flexible and the length of the workshop can vary depending on individual requirements of different companies.

• Your smartphone; fully charged (a portable phone charger if you have one can be useful)

• Comfortable shoes
